Although Bartley said he feels accomplished with how the election turned out, he said he is glad this step is done and is ready to get the work going. "I want to thank the city of Stillwater for the opportunity to run for mayor," Hoeltzel said. Also said he was thankful for all his supporters and the citizens who participated in the election. He said he doesn't have an opinion on the election's outcome, but he does have something to say to the citizens and city of Stillwater. "I do want to thank everyone who came out to vote and worked on campaigns to make Stillwater better," he said. "We're going to have a solid council and be able to do some good things," Bartley said. Hoeltzel was at home when the results were announced, and said he was preparing to go to bed for the night. About SEC Expansion, Super Conferences, and Mike Slive’s Headache
The state of Texas only has one BCS conference competing for all those television sets and that conference is ready to implode. We are going to four, 16 team, super-conferences (at least for football purposes), accept it. We may have a lay-over at 14 teams, 16 is the destination. That is a good thing, likely the only good thing as far as I am concerned. Give me a 10 game conference schedule and a 13 game regular season and I am the happiest of all campers. I even like having alumni of rivals in my neighborhood. Most see the SEC and Texas television sets as the drivers of this bus. The goal of expansion is television sets, pure and simple. I am not concerned with television markets or finances. I like to drive to away games. Television. This will lead to a manageable playoff scenario between the 4 conferences. From my vantage point I would love to have Clemson and Florida State in the SEC East. at least not to the degree it affects my preferences on expansion....

After beginning his post-secondary education at Friends University, he is currently a sophomore enrolled in the Academy of Contemporary Music (ACM) program through the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond. He works at Bourbon Street Cafe on weekends and serves at an intern at the Church of the Servant in Oklahoma City.
