The Cedar Valley Conference continues to be among the best softball leagues in the state in terms of its top-to-bottom competitiveness. We hit the ball solid (Tuesday) night, but we didnt start doing that until about the fourth inning. Youve got West Liberty, who knocks off West Branch, so there arent any easy games in this conference this year. Durant, Regina and Wilton are ranked fourth, fifth and sixth, respectively, in Class 2A, and Mid-Prairie had been ranked previously. In addition, West Branch and West Liberty have proven they can contend with just about anyone.
