My guess is that the officials called it no catch because the nose of the football hits the ground as Coale goes to the turf with it, and the refs must have decided that he did not yet have possession of the ball at that point. This is the ultimate catch-22 of instant replay: sometimes the replay is too every time with super-human technology that any doubt began to creep in. Football officiating both at the pro and college level has become so robotic and legalistic that... Now, whenever a diving catch is made we spend five minutes analyzing the play from a half dozen camera angles, waiting for the lawyers to convene and then give their final decree, which in most cases is to nullify the spectacular highlight you... For me we needed a left back (got him) and a left sided player to give us real wing play at home . if we could pick up someone like AJ to play on the other wing then home matches could be 2 up front 2 wingers and de jong barry milner yaya silva...
